Eileen Page on "Analyzing Personality" Printing, or a mixed print-script appears to be the writing style of choice since the beginning of the millennium. The potential reasons for this preference vary considerably and unique printed styles continue to surface and increase. This lecture explores cultural transitions, the reasons for the shift, and the many, various traits that can be identified in the writing of the printer. Effective strategies and a trait chart will be used to help analyze the "printed" or “print-scripted” word.
About our speaker: Eileen Page began her studies in handwriting analysis in 1984. She is a Certified Graphologist, Master Graphoanalyst, and has a Master of Arts Degree in Critical and Creative Thinking from the University of Massachusetts in Boston. After almost 20 years as an elementary reading teacher, she retired in 1996 to become a full time handwriting consultant. Eileen’s pursuits include lecturing, personality profiling, and writing books. She created and taught several graduate courses in handwriting and other field related subjects at off campus sites for Framingham State University. Presently, her primary focus is in the forensics area. Her training with the World Association of Document Examiners and the International Association of Document Examiners, combined with her field experience, qualifies Eileen to render an opinion and testify in court about any suspect writing on questioned documents and anonymous notes. “Fun with Handwriting” No point in doing something if it isn’t fun – even if you are passionate about it. For many of us we take our area of expertise very seriously, and we should, but that doesn’t mean we can’t also make it FUN!!!
This journey started with inspiration from a workshop Sr. June gave in Niagara Falls Ontario 30 years ago. We’ll see ways that can combine handwriting and make us laugh at the same time. All my samples shown will be made readily available for you to use for your own purposes, share further and hopefully make others giggle as well. About our speaker: Edda has studied various aspects of handwriting for over thirty years. Currently she serves AAHA as Regional Chair II - Canada. In March 1997 Edda and her mentor, the late Suzanne McPetrie, gave a one day workshop on The Basics of Handwriting Analysis. From this group many went on to further study of handwriting analysis and complete their exam with the AAHA. They continue to meet bi-weekly to study handwriting samples. This year marks their 25th anniversary of gathering for their study group. Over the years Edda has given numerous presentations to many organizations who were interested in learning more about Handwriting Analysis. Her present focus concerns the decline of cursive handwriting in the public school systems. Through the efforts of Campaign for Cursive, Edda is helping to make people aware of the importance of cursive handwriting. She helps to organize the Canadian English Campaign for Cursive handwriting competition to encourage young people to develop their cursive handwriting skills. |
Valerie Weil on "Going Left" From Left Handedness, to Left Slant,Left Trend, and even the new Left Print Slant…leftward movement tends to trip up most graphologists at some time or other. We will explore the various issues with all things “left,” and come to understand their true meanings. Knowing what the issue is, and how to compensate for it in your evaluation, can make a world of difference.
About out speaker: Valerie Weil is a document examiner and certified graphologist. She started out in 1997 and decided to go back to college, too, to learn more about Psychology to go with the graphology. She has been an active participant of all the Handwriting Analysis organizations, and is our AAHA Website and Newsletter Editor. She owns “Expressed In Writing Handwriting Services LLC” which includes 3 different services: The Insyte Challenge Handwriting Analysis School; Forensic Document Examination, and general graphology work, lecturing, and providing technical support and website design and assistance. www.ExpressedInWriting.com Cindy Cheaves on
"Mystery Guest Workshop" Get ready for lively discussion requiring involvement of all participants as they work analyzing the handwriting provided. The exercise is designed to heighten the understanding how the various parts of a person come together as a whole. Then the real fun part. We will meet the writer of the handwriting sample via video. It’s a powerful learning exercise to first analyze the writing then have the writer answer directly the questions from the exercise.

Completed Liz Mills Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced courses. Certified Cursive Coach of New American Cursive.
